meet with you twice before the birth to determine your needs, discuss your wishes, and verify what role all members of
the birth team will play.

provide information for you to
make informed decisions about your options during pregnancy, labor and birth.
· provide birth plan information and consultation.
· answer questions and make suggestions over the phone or on email before labor begins or
in early labor.
·
provide early labor support on an as
needed basis.
·
remain with you once active labor
has begun until one to two hours after the baby is born.
· utilize non-medical support and comfort techniques for labor and birth.
· strive to maintain the birth environment of your choice. (ie; peaceful
or upbeat)
· maintain a birth log as circumstances
allow.
· photograph/video labor, birth and postpartum,
if desired, and time and circumstances permit.
· help you initiate breastfeeding if you choose to.
· meet with you once postpartum to admire the baby, help mom with
breastfeeding if needed, give referrals, evaluate my services, discuss the birth and any other concerns you may
have at that time. Other arrangements may be made for postpartum doula support if desired.
As
a proponent of home and birth center births, I give 10% off my normal pricing for any delivery planned to be at home or birthing
